From April 9 to 11, the 21st International Symposium on Applied Reconfigurable Computing (ARC 2025) was held at the School of Computer Engineering of the University of Seville. The event, organized by the Institute of Microelectronics of Seville (IMSE-CNM), was supported by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the University of Seville.

ARC 2025 brought together international experts to discuss the latest advances in reconfigurable computing, covering topics such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, communications, and automotive systems. The organizing committee was chaired by Dr. Piedad Brox Jiménez and Dr. Ángel Barriga Barros from IMSE, with the support of several researchers from the Institute.

A total of 75 attendees were registered, who also had the opportunity to participate in a tutorial and three workshops held as additional events associated with the symposium. The conference featured a wide range of participating institutions, primarily from Central Europe (France, Germany, Portugal, and Italy), as well as prominent technology-based companies such as Quside Technologies, Indra, Ubitium, Quintauris, and Keysight Technologies—the latter also serving as a financial sponsor of the event.

The symposium proceedings will be published in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series by Springer, and the best papers will be invited to submit extended versions for a special section of ACM Transactions on Reconfigurable Technology and Systems (TRETS) dedicated to ARC 2025.
