At IMSE, we carry out various activities to highlight the role of female researchers at our center.
On Tuesday, February 11, we celebrated the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, a date that highlights the key role women play in the scientific and technological community. At the Institute of Microelectronics of Seville, we joined this initiative by shining a spotlight on the work and contributions of our female researchers in their daily activities.
On this occasion, in addition to outreach efforts through social media, researcher Piedad Brox visited IES Alminar to share her expertise in microelectronics with high school students in the science track. During her presentation, she introduced attendees to integrated circuits, silicon, and other related concepts, capturing their full attention as she explained the research conducted at our center. To conclude her session, she answered students' questions, who showed great interest and curiosity about the impact of microelectronics on everyday life and the career opportunities in this field.
We sincerely thank IES Alminar for their warm welcome and all attendees for their enthusiasm. We will continue working to highlight female talent in science and technology, convinced that greater diversity in research enriches knowledge and drives societal progress.
