The Instituto de Microelectrónica de Sevilla has been present for another year at the Science Fair developed by the Sociedad Andaluza para la Divulgación de la Ciencia (SADC). This event, which was held from May 8 to 10 at the Exhibition and Congress Palace in Sevilla, aims to disseminate science to society, aimed mainly at universities, schools and other research centers.
The Instituto de Microelectrónica de Sevilla (IMSE) did not want to miss this annual event and has presented a varied program for all audiences. Through its stand it has made known its scientific work through robotics workshops, virtual reality glasses (on the occasion of the Institute's collaboration with certain space missions) and games related to encryption code.
The meeting with school groups of various ages in the mornings, and that of family groups in the afternoons, was an especially gratifying experience for the researchers, who had to adapt their explanations to the interests and prior knowledge of the people who came to the center stand.
During the morning of Wednesday, May 8, the stand was visited by the president of the CSIC, Eloísa del Pino, who did not hesitate to participate in the activities and showed great interest in the workshops. We were able to see her testing the virtual reality glasses and sharing sensations with the IMSE team.
It is estimated that, during the three days, the number of attendees has exceeded a thousand people. Among the main audience, families, educational centers and organizations related to the sector have stood out.
